Dr. Amarjeet Singh Chawla is the founder president of Chawla Children Nursing home which was established in 1991 and is the pioneer institute of exclusive neonatal and child care services in Bhopal. He completed his MBBS from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal in 1982 and MD Pediatrics from the same in 1986 with flying colors.

He joined ICMR as Research Officer on completion of his MD and set up his private clinic simultaneously. Bringing with him a rich experience of 33 years of child practice and neonatal care, he has the honor of being a Fellow Guide for Dip Ch (Pediatrics) course by NARCHI (National Association for Reproductive and Child Health of India). He is also a Life Member of Indian Academy of Pediatrics and Life member of Association of Private Medical Practitioners of Bhopal, in addition to being Life Member of Nursing Home Association of Bhopal and Director of Bhopal Incinerators Limited which is a private limited company dealing with hospital waste.

Chawla Children Nursing home has in addition to being the pioneer institute for child care in Bhopal, the pride of saving a number of premature children and the rare distinction of sending home babies as small as 650 gms. He is also attached to maternity homes as Consultant Pediatrician Neonatologist in Bhopal with job responsibility of the health of neonates, to take care of the physical health of outdoor and in-house patients and vaccination.

Dr. Chawla is a person who quietly and unobtrusively does social work without being in the forefront of taking credit.
