Dr. Bhambal, Professor Emeritus (Paed) at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal and a fellow of IAP & NNF was the first lady pediatrician from Madhya Pradesh to be elected as the National Vice-President of IAP in 1997, spearheaded the Human Lactation Programme in MP and received the Dhanmantri award for her dedicated service towards child health. She has been the master trainer for several child health programmes and has organized various workshops, seminars & TOTs for doctors, paramedical teams and WCD Staff pan India. Presently, she holds the chair as the General Secretary for the Child Rights Observatory Board, Madhya Pradesh which is the first of its kind in Asia.
